It pains me to say this, but the WordPress upgrades, using their so-called improvement called “block editor,” are a disaster. As an old HTML guy who likes to have the ability to edit in text, it really puts a damper on creation. 
My first order of business is to find a way to convert all of our old posts into this new “block editor” format. Unfortunately, none of our posts will look good if they don’t support the old way. It’s a big bummer. 
In the end, we may have to move the entire site to a new platform. It will be sad to leave WordPress, but it’s 100% their fault for not giving users the choice to do things the way they’ve been doing it for 20 years. This is progress for progress’s sake.

The TUS Boss has made the hard decision that this news and opinion aggregate site needs an upgrade after 20+ years.
So, our dear loyal friends and readers, we will be off-the-beating-us-up-track for a bit until The Boss gets the new system going. The rough face-lift and tweaks just aren’t as good as we’d hoped.
While it is a ‘daily habit’ itch I really do need to scratch, it will give me some time to rest my newsie nerves and breathe some of this summer air and shine before it’s all gone once again. Oh, yeah, and get some of the crap done around my homestead that I’ve been avoiding. HEH! Don’t we all?
No doubt big news shit will, more likely than not, hit the proverbial fan while TUS is on hiatus … but C’est la vie (yeah, that’s, like, French or something) in the non-stop tech universe. Here’s hoping that news cycle is good news for America and Americans in the mess that has been ‘built back Biden’ for over these last 2 1/2 years of our beautiful nation’s socialist/communist deconstruction…
