Michael `Cane: Cat-4 Hurricane Storms in On the Florida Panhandle … God Help Them Stay Safe

I am a Topsail Island, NC gal, having spent my childhood and youth summers surfing there with my Marine brat cousins. But I really never was too fond of the cooler and murky darker waters on that coast. As an adult about 30 years ago I finally traveled to the panhandle of the Florida Gulf Coast, and since then have decided I prefer the warm tub-like emerald green waters there. But where Panama City and our other favorite vacation destinations like Destin, are not much more than built-up and built-on massive sandbars that are right smack at sea level, and will be at complete mercy of Hurricane Michael and the massive storm surge that will come to submerge it. Praying hard for everyone there, and in the present projected path of this storm, especially the Carolinas who are still not over the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.

FNC: Hurricane Michael strengthens to Category 4 storm, considered ‘extremely dangerous’
