I realize, understand, and even to a certain degree agree with the reality that the ages old Roman Catholic Church in the 21st century needs to do some catching up with modernity on certain levels. However, what has been done with the last couple popes has been a path of major secular transformation that most times goes completely against basic doctrine. And no pope has been more outspoken and active in this transformation than the current Pope Francis.
I had heard about his socialist upbringing in Argentina, and his secondary religion (or given his actions and words as pope his primary religion) of “liberation theology” and all its secondary social justice cousins. Here is a man that presumably leads a global majority religion who believes in One True Almighty God, but still pushes the fake science issue of man-made global warming/climate change. This shifts the power over this speck of a rock spinning in an incomprehensibly and mysterious vast universe away from The Creator and onto His meager creation. That fundamentally goes against our core belief.
Pope Francis has also embraced Islam and acknowledges its god. Really? How does he weigh what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called for man to be and behave like with what Islam’s prophet Mohammad calls for to please the god of Islam? Christianity calls for personal responsibility, accountability, and personal salvation and can only advise you to live your life accordingly. Islam teaches that those who do not believe their doctrine and in their Allah are to be enslaved or killed, to this day. They are total opposites. And in his coddling if Islam and Muslims he seems to shove aside the people of Jesus, the Jews and Israel in favor of their sworn enemies who would see them completely extinct from not only their Holy Land but the face of God’s Earth.
This is a man, Pope Francis, who frowns upon our Pres. Donald Trump and declares him ‘not Christian’ for his pushing America to take control and charge of our own problems in order to correct them ourselves and with little or no government interference, and gleefully admires the Castro regime who not only rule by the socialist/communist ideology but whose government has complete control and command over the people and keep them in poverty, misery, and brutality at government hands.
This Pope insists the U.S. is more than obligated to throw open our borders and accept countless unvetted “refugees” that our enemy has vowed it is infiltrating with operatives and their plans to attack us … Not to mention weigh down our already over-stressed, tax-paid government entitlements in order to house, feed, healthcare, school, and finance people who have very little, if anything, to contribute to our society and refuse to assimilate to our tolerance norms and laws.
And now this pope is chastising “conservative” Catholics: Pope Francis attacks conservative Catholics — and Trump?
Someone brought a dog to mass at my parish this weekend. It lay smack in the middle of the main aisle, forcing parishioners to edge around it. No one said anything, but the symbolism was not lost on some in attendance: dogs may be going to church, but the universal Roman Catholic Church is going to the dogs.
Under Pope Francis, the church has abandoned many of its bedrock positions on issues like divorce and homosexuality in favor of a “why not?” attitude. Francis has scolded people for being rich, sided with illegal immigrants, and suggested the church should be a refuge for the poor.
He has sidelined conservative cardinals, installed like-minded allies in key jobs, taken personal control of the Knights of Malta for defying him, and generally sent the signal that behind his amiable smile and humble talk lurks a radically liberal agenda.
The latest example of the pope’s blueprint for the future is contained in an article penned by two of his closest confidantes. They believe that conservative Catholics in the United States have formed a coalition with Evangelical Protestants to push Donald Trump’s agenda, which the authors call a “Manichean vision.” The article, in the Jesuit publication La Civiltà Cattolica, could not have been printed without Francis’s knowledge and approval.
“The pope is expressing his displeasure at the election of Donald Trump as president and with the Catholics who voted for him,” says Deal Hudson, former Catholic Outreach director for the Republican National Committee. “It came as a huge surprise to the establishment of the church, who were pulling for Hillary Clinton.”
Now, says Hudson, the pope is wielding his power as CEO of the Church to tell American Catholics “we are bad Christians. This was his way of calling us a basket of deplorables without using that phrase.”
“This pope does not like the culture war,” says Robert Royal, president of the Faith and Reason Institute and a commentator on the Catholic network EWTN. “The real tragedy is they’re trying to discredit some types of religious action in the public square, while they are very active in advocating for the environment, immigrants and stopping human trafficking.”
Francis can run the church any way he wants. But demonizing conservative American Catholics is a risky business. They have deep pockets and long memories.
I guess Pope Francis should pen and command a Vatican decree that states public hangings, stonings, beheadings, etc. will commence for any Catholic not seeing and agreeing the world and his idea of The Church, as influenced by his beloved Islamic brothers.
Jesus taught us to be charitable and love our neighbors. But He did not expect that to come as forced behavior from or by way of a centralized government. He intended it to come individually by our own choice. A friend on Facebook passes on:
Here are six Conundrums of Socialism in the United States of America :
1. America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other Countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
In Europe, in America, in Latin America, in Africa, in some countries of Asia, there are ideological colonizations. And one of these — I say it clearly with name and surname “ is gender! Today children, children are taught this in school that one can choose one’s sex! And why do they teach this? Because the books used are those of individuals and institutions that give money. They are ideological colonizations, supported also by very influential countries. And this is terrible. Speaking with Pope Benedict, who is well and has clear thinking, he said to me: “Holiness, this is the time of the sin against God the Creator!” He is intelligent! God has created man and woman; God created the world thus, and thus, and thus … and we are doing the opposite. God has given us an “untilled” state, so that we can till it; and then, with this tilling, we are doing things that are taking us back to the “untilled” state! We must think about what Pope Benedict said: It’s the time of the sin against God the Creator! And this will help us.
And yet, he doesn’t see the same can be said regarding the arrogance of “man-made” climate change theology.
