Ahead of the most recent senate repeal vote on Obama care John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins met with democrats on the Senate floor … and then returned to their seats to vote with democrats against its passing. (Above photo)
Some of the republican party’s consistent RINOs not only met with and voted with the democrats in refusing the ObamaCare repeal bill a few days ago, but did so in bald-faced opposition and hypocrisy of their campaign promise(s) to do so…
Whatever your views on ObamaCare, the simple fact is that the GOP Senate voted to repeal ObamaCare in December 2015, knowing full well that President Obama would veto the bill.
That vote was conveniently timed to give Republican lawmakers the ability to go back to their states and proclaim that they had tried to repeal ObamaCare, but were thwarted by a Democratic president.
“Elect me, and give us a Republican in the White House, and we can finally get rid of this law,” was the basic message to voters.
Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, for example, wrote multiple op-eds for her hometown papers decrying what ObamaCare had done to her state, and vowing to repeal it, in the run-up to her 2016 re-election. In one she wrote that “the Affordable Care Act has unfortunately become one of the most ironically named pieces of legislation for Alaska in history.”
In a floor speech in May 2016, she claimed that “I have consistently supported full repeal of the ACA and have voted to do so on several occasions. I have recognized that it is going to be difficult, if not impossible, to do so with this administration.” She voted for the repeal bill in 2015.
But this week, Murkowski voted against every single version of ObamaCare repeal…
When the libs/left/dems lift you up and carry you on their collective shoulders as heroes in The Resistance you know you’ve gone over to the fucking dark side.
You know those murder mystery movies and TV crime dramas where the stupid schmuck comes along and picks up the gun/murder weapon and stands over the dead body just as the police or a witness comes along and automatically assume them guilty? This is exactly where the GOP is (and by Obama/democrat design since the inception of ObamaCare) right now as they fiddle-fart around with not hurting feelings by refusing to roll-up their damn sleeves and pant legs and unplugging that fucking ObamaCare sewer.
People for years since its passing have wondered why republicans have been so deflective and useless on repealing, and replacing, the deceptive and failing law, even when finally in control/power of the House, Senate, and White House. It is not-so-much these progressive RINOs’ compassion for insuring Americans. No. It is the need for this issue during their re-election campaigns. Hence the votes to do just that (repeal/replace) when knowing it really doesn’t matter once it was dropped onto Obama’s shoe-scuffed Oval Office desk, so they can impress on their voters when seeking re-election that they tried their damnedest…
