Apparently team Hillary was not happy with these four women in the front row at last night’s debate. Originally Trump wanted to seet the four women in the family box, but the debate officials refused to allow it…
ST. LOUIS — Donald Trump’s campaign sought to intimidate Hillary Clinton and embarrass her husband by seating women who have accused former president Bill Clinton of sexual abuse in the Trump family’s box at the presidential debate here Sunday night, according to four people involved in the discussions.
The campaign’s plan, which was closely held and unknown to several of Trump’s top aides, was thwarted just minutes before it could be executed when officials with the Commission on Presidential Debates intervened. The commission officials warned that, if the Trump campaign tried to seat the accusers in the elevated family box, security officers would remove the women, according to the people involved, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the discussions were confidential.
There’s that “c.” word again…
The four women — Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and Kathy Shelton — sat with other ticketed members of the audience. Bill Clinton long has denied the allegations of Jones, Broaddrick and Willey. Shelton was 12 years old when she accused a 41-year-old man of raping her. Hillary Clinton was selected by a judge to defend the man, who eventually pleaded to a lesser charge.
“With time served” the WaPo forgot to add, so, he basically walked away free, and Hillary got to laugh about it in a recorded “locker-room” “war stories” conversation with other lawyers.
@mitchellreports You spelled victims wrong.

You know damn well if these were Trump’s victims they would be sitting between Bill and Chelsea with their supportive hand-holding as they wiped away tears.
Yes, it’s come to this. This is a dirty political war we are submerged in. After the last several general election cycles where democrats and their butt-buddy MSM bulldozing GOP candidates with little or no backboned responses or rebuttals at least Trump is willing to get down in the mud and fight back. There were those ahead of last night’s debate, on the heels of the Trump “pussy” tape leak that had establishment GOPers jumping ship…
There is precedent for this.
Richard Nixon’s “Checkers” speech, Bill Clinton’s “60 Minutes” appearance in 1992 after the Gennifer Flowers bombshell, and, most recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2003. The allegations against Arnold, another pop culture figure who entered politics late in life, were even worse. Trump talked like an entitled pig. Arnold actually had a history of physically groping women. Those allegations came from a number of women just a few days before a gubernatorial election. Schwarzenegger apologized and went on to serve two terms as California governor.
Other than the reset, the opportunity this audio affords Trump is three-fold.
1) It gives Trump a chance to appear humble, contrite, and modest — a side of him we have not yet seen. Trump’s Friday night video apology showed some of this. We’ll need to see more.
2) Like Nixon, Clinton, and Schwarzenegger, it gives voters an opportunity to see Trump handle an existential crisis. You could throw Obama in this mix after videos of his racist preacher were released in the heat of the 2008 campaign. If Trump can be cool, level-headed, and articulate, voters might be willing to forgive the frat boy vulgarities and respect his steadiness under fire.
3) Hillary can now be fully-prosecuted for her treatment of her husband’s legions of female victims. The Clinton’s checkered past allows Trump to fight this to something of a draw. This will require a harrowing week of Defcon 1 ugliness, which is something I welcome. Donald Trump is a vulgar boor. Bill Clinton is a predator who has been protected for decades by the press. I want to see Bill prosecuted along with his enabling wife. To do this, Trump must scorch the earth.
I would say Trump pretty much accomplished 1-3, and the fact he held the pre-debate punk-the-willfully-deaf/dumb/blind-MSM with the presser with the four victims of the Clintons, and then boldly bringing them into the debate hall as his guests was a prairie burner, all right.
