Yesterday GOP candidate Donald Trump spoke with a gathering of US military veterans. One US Marine veteran asked Trump about PTSD. What followed after the gathering was the typical deliberate MSM distortion of content vs context of Trump’s response to the Marine…

Wonkette (NOT linking): Looks Like Donald Trump Done Gone And Pissed Off The Veterans!
MSNBC’s Madcow finds she must ‘update’ her blog entry over the Trump-PTSD non-story after those who were there opposed the MSM’s taking it out of context, and then she even has to come back and mention the Marine that asked Trump the question was outraged that Trump’s answer was being twisted by the media … To which Maddow basically insinuated the Marine veteran is a crazy liar…
“Again, he’s obviously entitled to his opinion, but quoting Trump’s words directly is not an example of “twisting” anything.”
Except, Madcow, taking just a piece of a quote and presenting it with the intended slant is “twisting”, no matter how you cut it. And it’s quite telling that this MSNBC desk monkey is insisting this Marine and those who were present at that gathering are wrong in what they heard in Trump’s answer.
I was at this event. Totally BOGUS Non-story. The Mainstream Media is getting truly desperate. https://t.co/FIPDI7FZLs

Faux controversy? Of course not. It doesn’t matter what the veteran who asked the question thinks about the answer; what matters is how you feel about it, and journalists are going to make sure you feel the way you’re supposed to feel.
Mediaite: No, Donald Trump Did Not Attack Veterans
For the record, this is how Team Trump responded, in a statement from retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn:
“The media continues to operate as the propaganda arm of Hillary Clinton as they took Mr. Trump’s words out of context in order to deceive voters and veterans—an appalling act that shows they are willing to go to any length to carry water for their candidate of choice. Mr. Trump was highlighting the challenges veterans face when returning home after serving their country. He has always respected the service and sacrifice of our military men and women—proposing reforms to Veteran Affairs to adequately address the various issues veterans face when they return home.”
Maybe, just maybe, not everything Trump says is an outrage.
And then there’s this…
Don Surber: Press beclowns itself on taxes
Sources say NYTimes working on another bombshell scoop: Trump once drove a car 50 mph in a 50-mph zone.
