Zika Virus: Rachel Carson’s Deadly “Good Intentions” Legacy Continues

Thinking about heading down to “Carnival” in Rio in a couple weeks? How about the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic Games at the end of this coming summer? Are you pregnant, or planning on romantically conceiving and becoming pregnant while in Rio? Better think again. While an infection of the Zika virus generally has mild symptoms for the average person, it is the infection of a pregnant (or soon to be pregnant) woman that carries the biggest threat of microcephaly to the developing unborn baby in the womb.

The fact is, the Zika virus threat is already spreading faster than Ebola to an estimated 20 countries so far, including the U.S. via returning travelers and border-hopping illegal aliens. It has the chilling possibility and potential of exploding into a pandemic if not seriously and fiercely dealt with immediately. Outside the bite of the virus-carrying mosquitoes, the world health scientists really aren’t sure exactly what all forms of transmission there are to spreading the virus that is causing the cerebral deformities in babies and illness in others infected. Some are even speculating it can be sexually transmitted by an infected person. As the CDC scrambles to more clearly define the Zika virus and its characteristics, U.S. and Canadian health officials are strongly considering not accepting blood donations from anyone who has returned from traveling abroad in the South and Central Americas. Scientists say a vaccine against Zika is at least 10 years away.

This is the latest generation of detrimental maladies and illness born of mosquitoes … and Rachael Carson’s eco-liberalism removal of the tried-and-true DDT eradication of the mosquito, especially in underdeveloped areas of the world. For decades since her interloping into the insecticide’s use malaria has become a hugely deadly disaster, especially in Africa, and other deadly illnesses such as West Nile virus and dengue have spread across the world, even to our nation. And now the Zika virus.

(Frontpage Magazine) – The Zika virus outbreak is the latest batch of blood on the dirty hands of Rachel Carson and the entire environmental movement which puts mosquitoes ahead of people. There was a time when we beat insect-born diseases through simple and easy methods that worked.

We could just start eradicating mosquitoes using methods and technology that works. Or we could tell women to stop getting pregnant. You just know how much environmentalists and the Zero Population Growth crowd loves the second option.

Anyway environmentalists have already shifted to blaming the Zika virus on Global Warming, because the angry Flying Global Warming Monster is responsible for all our ills, including the Syrian Civil War, the Cologne sex attacks and absolutely any other thing you can think of.

And the Rachel Carson Environmentalist Genocide rolls on.

All Rachael Carson wanted to do was save the birds. I would imagine the environmentally mental woman would be championing wind turbine and huge solar panel array green energy right now. It is a good and intelligent guess that these “green energy” solutions to fossil fuels have been far more responsible for more bird (and other wild animal) deaths than DDT was, or ever would be.

Why? Well, not for the reasons you and I are concerned about abortion. It is because it benefits their “global warming/climate change” agenda propaganda. You evil “flat-earther AGW deniers” are causing women to abort babies!!!
