Not Before My Morning Coffee: 12-29-14

Good Monday after the long Christmas weekend, fellow Spectators!

Back to the weekly grind this morning. However, New Years is dead straight ahead so this week promises to be short on productivity at work.

Some headlines to steam and sip over…

Bad for Your Health:

This is the result of ObamaCare. Many doctors are refusing Medicaid (and Medicare), and Medicaid is a primary option in ObamaCare for those entering the rolls: As Medicaid Rolls Swell, Cuts in Payments to Doctors Threaten Access to Care

Since the UK government-run healthcare system (NHS) is what much of ObamaCare is designed after, just a bit of what we can expect ahead: 3,000 ops cancelled as demand rises: More than 3,000 operations have been cancelled by the NHS in the first two weeks of this month as an “unprecedented demand” takes its toll.

Meanwhile, let Colorado be the test study for how legalizing pot, and other drugs, will go: Marijuana use increases in Colorado, according to new federal survey (1 in 8)

Director Ridley Scott’s latest offering around Moses, “Exodus: Gods and Kings” is not being welcomed in Egypt and the UAE, and has been banned.

And over in Pakistan they are not very happy at all with Showtime’s terror-driven series “Homeland” and the portrayal of their country within its storylines.

Just as a sidebar: Social network Facebook has once again eagerly covered communist China’s anti-religion ass as they scrub a recent post covering Tibetan Monk’s self-immolation. However, Facebook doen’t have to stress over Iran, as that country is expanding its ‘smart’ Internet censorship.

Takes All Kinds: The macabre museum exhibit designed to recreate the smell and sounds of the deaths of JFK, Princess Diana and even Whitney Houston
